Development Phase

Industry Introduction

Showcase Phase

Critique Phase

How do we get an agent? When is my child ready for an audition? The Star Journey™ provides the answers. It is a structured, four-phase pathway that takes a student from their very first “hello” in an intro class to the moment they step onto a professional set. This journey isn’t a race; it’s a marathon of craft-building. By following this roadmap, we ensure that no student is pushed into the industry before they have the emotional and technical “armor” to succeed.

The Four Phases of the Journey

Each student’s path is unique, but the milestones of growth at AGI generally follow these four critical phases:

Phase 1: Discovery & Foundation

Every journey begins with a single step. In the Discovery phase, we focus on the “Three C’s”: Curiosity, Comfort, and Connection.
  • The Goal: To help the student find their voice and lose their fear of the spotlight.
  • What it looks like: Improvisation games, basic script work, and learning the “language” of the theater. Students learn how to listen, how to stay present, and how to take direction.
  • The Parent’s Role: Encourage play and celebrate the bravery it takes to try something new.

Phase 2: Technical Mastery & Discipline

Once a student decides they want to pursue this seriously, we move into the “Workroom.” This is where the craft is forged.
  • The Goal: To build a repeatable, reliable technique.
